Slowest blogger on earth planet? Jep, that's me #Guilty. My life is happening, but definitely not on my blog as I keep forgetting to update it. I could promise you to change that in the future, but I don't give empty promises #JustBeingHonest. However I can say that I will really try harder from now and and let's see where it brings us. #Fingerscrossed ;-)
To bring you on the same page, I left Australia three weeks ago and came back to Europe. #ThatsHowIRole #AlwaysFullOfSurprises. Why I am back...well I will leave this to the next post. Before I came back to Barcelona for good I went on a one week holiday to celebrate my birthday. I am not going to disclose my age, but I can tell you that it was a round birthday which sounds so much nicer than saying: "Ups I just turned 30" #NowItsOutThere #StillTryingToFigureOutHowToRockThatAge.
We went to an Italian island called Elba and I can tell you, this island is beaaautiful! You know these pictures of the white beaches and turquoise oceans you see on Instagram and you are like yes-I-wanna-be-there-right-now #AdmitItWeAllDo. Sometimes you don't even need to go that far to find such a marvellous spot. Elba is definitely one of them. We rented a small flat in a village up in the mountains through Airbnb and spend a couple of days in this paradise. Porto Azzurro was our favourite city and Forno the nicest beach, which is quite difficult to choose if there are more than 150 beaches on such a small island. What we did? We ate pizza, pasta and ice cream all day long #EveryDay, went to the beach and strolled through nature and different harbours. We even visited Napoleon's resident which was the least interesting part of our trip. Overall it was super relaxing and I felt like time would be standing still. I can only recommend you to visit this Italian treasure.
However in the end it doesn't matter where you go for your holiday but who is sharing the experience with you. And I had the best company I could have wished for.
